Featuring Akon 1/25/07

So I was watching MUCH just now. Is it just me or has "Video On Trial" gotten really retarded? How do you make fun of Weird Al? He's frikkin' Weird Al! He doesn't need to be made fun of! Also, where are the old (funny) jury members? "Trevor Boris can't work for us todaY? Uh-oh. We'd better get an even gayer guy who isn't half as funny." *Exasperated Sigh*
Which Brings me to another point. Why do music videos suck so bad? I mean, they were never good or even normal before. But Gwen Stefani and Fergie have taken it to new lows. Speaking of Fergie, whats with the Girl Scout outfit? Am I supposed to find Girl Scouts attractive? And Speaking of Gwen Stefani WHY ARE YOU PLAYING A GIANT KEY LIKE A GUITAR? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? LET THE JAPANESE SLAVES GO, MAN!
Also why is Akon in every video? In the new Gwen Stefani video he just stands there and goes "Woo-ooh!" and then drives an SUV.

Anyways, I'm gonna go work on a comic.

Yep. 1/22/07

Nothing to report. New comic tomorrow, see you then.

Rubbish and Poppycock 01/20/07

The new comic is now online. Go forth, and read it. And enjoy it as such, that when thou laugh, thou shalt cluth thy sides and slappeth thy knee. So it is written.

just finished watching The House of Usher with Vincent Price. Talk about creepy. If you're into the old Hammer style of horror movie, you'd love this flick. But if you hate corny, not really scary, horror movies, you'd hate it.

I just bought a kilt. Ebay, you will be the end of me.

Anyways, I have to be up and out of bed in less than 4 hours, so I should turn in. Turn into what, I don't know.

P.S. Saurkraut burp. Gross.

P.P.S. Oh yeah, I'm attempting to learn Scots Gaelic, despite my hatred of silent letters. So mar sin leat! Or mar sin leibh, depending on who's reading.

The Human Torch Was Denied A Bank Loan 01/18/07

Just on lunch, in between taking my biology 30 exams, so I figured I'd update. Turns Out I forgot what "myelinated" means, whoops. Oh well. Other than that its going good so far, and it's all multiple-choice after this.

Just watched an awesome movie called The Road To Saddle River, and I loved it. Let me just sum it up with this quote. Fellow Albertans will understand.

"...And Lordy, we know that if it ain't Alberta, it ain't beef. And I'll shoot the son-of-a-bitch that says otherwise. Amen."

But don't take my word for it, check it out yourself, if you ever get the chance.

Anyhow, I'm off to finish my bio test. Wish me luck!

Well that is that, and this is this... 01/15/07

So I went down to the beach and saw Kiki, she was all like "Meh". I was like "Whatevah!"
Wait, no...

You should check out I'll Believe In Anything by Wolf Parade. Awesome song. You'll like it if you're into Modest Mouse or The Arcade Fire. So yeah, check that out. And by check it out, I swear I don't mean download.

I'm reading Knights of the Black and White by Jack Whyte (no, not that Jack White). It's quite good, if you're into that whole medieval thing, which I am. Or interested in the crusades, which I am. So if you're into Scots Canadian authors, medieval warfare, and religious intrigue, then this is the book for you.

That's pretty much all for now. I actually have a comic finished right now, but I'm still only putting it up on Saturday. That way I'll have time to work on more, and you won't get stuck with crap.

Oh yeah, I had an awesome Beef Dip for supper at Boston Pizza...

Thunder... nahahah aha ahah 01/13/07

I should really stop procrastinating and start updating/making comics again... next week.

Seriously though, a new comic will be up next Saturday. I promise, cross my heart, hope to die, stick a needle in my eye. It may not be in the story line, but it will be a comic.

I do have to apologize for not updating or making new comics, I know there are a few people who do care. So I'm sorry. It's also pretty dumb of me to pay for this website and not use it. And so, (as I mentioned above) comics will start again next week, and I will be updating a few times a week again, starting now.

SHAZBOT!!! 12/31/06

Warning: I'm about to rant... again...

It's 5AM and I'm madder than spit. I just want to say

"Way to go Iraq, for showing the world how civilized you are, and how much better your new government is."

I'd like to point out before I go any further, I do not support the things Saddam did. He was clearly a corrupt, evil man. We all know he was guilty, as guilty as sin. But the fact of the matter is that he was a human being, unfairly tried by men who hated him, and who wanted to see him swing. His execution was rushed, he was killed before he was even proven guilty of all of his crimes, and as far as I'm concerned he was not given full opportunity to appeal his death sentence. I have, unfortunately, seen the video of Saddam's execution. I did seek it out, but if I could take it back I would. He was treated like livestock, herded into a chute, confused and probably scared (though he didn't really show it). I was appalled by the treatment he was given by his executioners (who wore masks, while Saddam refused to). They chanted slogans and mocked him. Sure, he returned it, but he was being executed, for God's sake. They opened the trap door before he could even finish saying his prayers.

How humane. How civilized.

I know my rant comes a bit late, as these events happened days ago, but it's taken me awhile to figure out how I really feel about this. Generally speaking, I disagree with capital punishment. No man should take another man's life. Like they allways say "An eye for an eye makes us all blind." I realise, however, that there would have been issues in keeping him alive, and I'm sure he was resigned to his fate.

Rest in Peace:

Gerald Ford - Despite a lot of people thinking he was a buffoon, he sure did better than a certain person you guys elected is doing.
James Brown - He sure had a party while he was alive. About time he took a break.
Saddam Hussein - Wherever he is now, hopefully he'll be foregiven for what he did wrong, and come to terms with the people he wronged.

P.S. And now for something completely different... I turn 21 in less than 20 hours! Yuck!

Specter Perluster 12/27/06

Hello kiddies. How was your Christmas? Mine was great, allthough I didn't get too see all of the Fambly that I had hoped. The food was awesome and I got a crap load of presents, including an Xbox360 and some Johnny Cash on Vinyl from the 70's. So alltogether Christmas was pretty effin' sweet.

My buddy Jake from Vancity is in town this week and we went to the bar tonight, so I'm a bit tipsy, which is cool. Other than that, nothin's going on, so I'll probably just go play some Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter or watch a movie, and see y'all later.

Merry Christmas! 12/24/06

Okay, so it's been like a million years since I updated, I know. But I'm here now, and I come bearing gifts, a very special Christmas episode of the comic! So go check that out. It's probably my best work in a long time, as far as scripting goes. I'm hoping it's a trend and I can have some good stuff ready for you in the new year when the comic starts back up.

That's all for now, as it is 4 in the AM, and I must be up in a few hours to start opening gifts. Yes, on Christmas Eve Morning. Ah, the joys of having an extended family. My Christmas starts on Christmas Eve, and doesn't end until January 1st (which also happens to be my B-Day!). So I'll most likely update on Boxing Day Sometime. Have a good Christmas (or whatever it is you celebrate)!!!

P.S. As some of you may already know, I have a coin collection. I finally got around to cataloging it, and you can see a portion of it at Sqirl, the site for collectors!

Doom and Gloom 12/16/06

Ok, so there's no comic today. Things have become a bit stressful on my end, due to a number of reasons, so I've decided maybe I should take a break from comics for a while. I know, I know. Another break? But, contrary to popular belief, I do have a life. There will be a Christmas Special on saturday the 23rd, but the comic will not be back to regular production until the new year. Sorry folks, hopefully everything will get ironed out and I can come back with even better comics.

On an unrelated note, I hate anime. I know I've mentioned this before, but I just tried to watch some of Hellsing, and it sucked so hard I wanted to shoot the televison. So please, whoever makes this crap, stop.

Raindrops on Roses 12/13/06

Nothing to see here. I don't even know why I've updated...

Nothin' From Nowhere 12/11/06

Oh man, check this out googlefight.com. I'm probably the last person in the world to discover it, but it's pretty sweet. I find it odd that 'poop' beats 'booger', but I guess thats the masses for you.

So I plan to start on "Zakk's Top 100 songs that he enjoyed listening to in 2006" tonight. The lengthy title is neccessary because, of course, people are foolish. If I was to just put "The Top 100 songs of 2006" people would be like 'dude, this song came out in 1995' or 'dude, this song sucks.' People will probably still be like that, whatever.

On the subject of music, check out "The Quitter" by Rasputina. Rather cheery for a song about teenage suicide, but I like it.

That's all the news that's fit to type, so I'll see you all tomorrow night when I post the comic.

Yum, chocolate! 12/08/06

So its been 4 days since I updated. So what? Wanna fight about it? Not much goin' on, just figured I'd better stop in and let y'all know I'm still breathing (the missus is away though, so just barely. Anyway, gonna go work on tomorrow's comic and watch the end of the game. See you tomorry! Go Oilers!

P.S. Speaking of hockey, check this out... WhatIfSports.com. If you're into sports, you'll love it. Be sure to check out the Sim Match-up feature.

Q-tip 12/04/06

Evenin'! Just got back from the Christmas party, BOO! Rappin' Christmas presents, hoorah! Got my 1935 US buffalo nickel, also Hoorah! Oilers are beating the Vancouver Canucks 4-0, very hoorah! Other than that, not much goin' on. Just half-workin' on tomorrow's comic. So... see ya!

bee ay enn ay enn ay ess 12/02/06

Back from the journey. No real update tonight, as I am off to get drunk. Tomorrow!

Ramblin' Blues 11/30/06

Well, hello kiddies! Just stopping in to say hello, and let you know Saturday's comic will be a bit late. I will be in The City tomorrow night til Saturday afternoon, and then I have to attend my sister's school play. They're doing 'The Wizard Of Oz' this year, I expect it will be quite good. Anyhoo, I'm off to shower and shave. I'm getting a haircut early tomorrow (goodbye long hair, *snif*), so I must get my rest.

P.S. We broke the 900 hit mark, apparently. W00t!!1

Ketchup 11/28/06

Hello, my frisky little rabbits. How are we all this evening? I'm very well, thanks for asking.

So, I'm not usually one to rip on people, at least not here on the website. Something has happened recently, and I cannot pass up the opportunity to bitch about it. A fellow webcomic artist (no names, but maybe some of you know who it is) has given up on his comic. Now this I understand, doing a webcomic when you only get 4 or 5 visitors a day can be disheartening. But instead of just saying "I can't handle it anymore, sorry" he proceeded to say he couldn't see the point of making a 'free' webcomic anymore, and that from now on he would only do comics for money. This is what angered me. He'd basically called us all idiots... Jeph Jacques, Emily Horne & Joey Comeau, Jamie Lirette & Graham Mutch, Natalie Dee, Drew from TFD, Bryant Paul Johnson, Dan Hetrick, David Malki!, and that guy from L.O.S.E (whose name I never knew or forgot, sorry dude), and dozens of others... we're all idiots for not being money hungry jerks. Nevermind the enjoyment of creating art or a story or just being a goofball. Let's all just ditch our 'free' webcomics and get our hands on some frickin' cash.

Anyways, my newest comic is up, and you can read it (or not) for free.

Bang 11/24/06

Welly welly welly, my little droogins... finally got a new comic up, and I'm half-arsed working on another while trying to keep an eye on the hockey game. Oilers are winning, by the way. Not much else is new, so I'm gonna go finish the game. Hopefully updates will be more regular now. Laterz!

Mmm, popcorn 11/17/06

Well boy-howdy, it's been a long effin' time since I updated. I really don't have much to say anyways, nothing is new in my life. I finally got my violin, and I can actually make nosie on it, but thats about it. Just figured I'd let you all know I'm still alive, and IP will be back before the end of the month.

1..2..3... aaaand VOMIT! 11/08/06

Holy Cheese on a Cracker you guys. I am so sick. I know I promised a comic on tuesday, but i spent the whole day in bed, so here it is today. Its one of those crappy non-story-arc types, but it will have to do for now.

Because of my illness and still trying to run my life, Inadvertently Productive is going on temporary hiatus. It shall return, hopefully before month's end, but we'll have to see how things are going. Updates may also be sporadic, though probably no more than usual.

Thanks for stopping by!

Alive! 11/05/06

Oh man, I am sorry. I have been so busy lately I forgot to update for the past 4 days. I also didn't have a comic up for Saturday, but there will be one on Tuesday I promise.

I got the new My Chemical Romance album, The Black Parade, on friday (actually the Wife picked it up for me while I was at work, but whatevah). It's quite good, and I highly recommend it. You'll enjoy it if you're a true MCR fan, but don't buy this if you're expecting a repeat of Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge.

Mmm, cookies...

Ban Joe 11/01/06

Quick update before I go watch the Oilers kill the Predators. Me and the Missus have decided to move early. We found a place thats like 10 blocks away from the school, and it comes available on the 1st of December. It's pretty tough to find anything decent anywhere in Alberta right now, so we kind of need to grab the opportunity. We've spoken to the landlord there and things are looking good, so here's hoping!

How was your halloween? Mine was good, I got a little drunk and watched scary movies.

Worker Bee 10/28/06

Okay, so I lied. I didn't update last night. As an act of apology, please accept this wikkid awesome new comic.

Not much else new. Work sucks. I ordered my violin, it should be here in about 2 weeks. I'm going to start lessons after we move to Calgary in January. Speaking of which, I should prolly try and find a place to live in said city. It should be quite wikkid to live there, I'm both excited and scared.

But yeah, that's all for now. Mayhap I shall update tomorrow, but I doubt it. Laters!

D-uh... 10/26/06

Wow, I am so tired and brain-dead right now I can't even think of anything to say. Better update tomorrow.

Took A Train Out Of New Orleans 10/23/06

Hey kids. What's the happs? Not much going on here, I've been busy with work a lot lately, haven't had much time to "Nerd-it-up". I did have time to watch Life on the Murder Scene all the way through, once again. If you like My Chemical Romance you really should have seen it by now. But if not, you really need to check it out.

Laters!

The City Is Haunted 10/21/06

Just a quick update to let you folks know I'm still alive. Been busy lately, haven't had much time to update. I'll try and have a longer post tomorrow. 'Till then Go check out the latest comic. Laters!

Hungry Like The Wolf 10/18/06

So I've decided to buy a violin. I'm actually going to try and get lessons this time, so it won't just be collecting dust along with the guitar, piano, banjo, harmonica and tin-whistle I never play.

On a related note, check out "Sitar and Violin Duet" by Ravi Shankar, it's pretty effin' sweet.

Anyhoo, my legs are killing me so I'm gonna go read some comics and go to bed early. Laters.

It Hurts To Live 10/15/06

Oh man, I am in agony. I woke up with this weird pain in my side and it's gotten worse as the day progresses. I even had to come home from work. I think I may have slept with some blankets bunched up underneath me or something. At any rate, it kills, and I'll probably go to the doctor tomorrow.

By the by, if you haven't check out yesterday's comic, please do. It will make me happy.

Helter Skelter 10/13/06

Happy Friday the 13th. How was your luck today? I didn't do anything all day, so I really didn't have the opportunity to get hurt. I suppose I could have cut my finger when I was slicing pickles for my cold turkey sammich...

I was trying to find this song by David Bowie today, and I was having a heck of a hard time, and I happened to see this picture of him and I thought... "You know, he really looks like someone else..." I couldn't place it. Then I realized he didn't look like someone, he looked like something.

Back to the song I was trying to find, in the music video he's standing in front of a mirror and looking at like a younger version of himself or something. If anybody knows which song I'm talking about, drop me an eMail.

Anyhoo, gonna go work on some comics. Laters.

The Coloured Tuberous Perennial 10/12/06

You're looking at the new MinimalistWorlidwideAnalysis. A few changes might be made, but this is pretty much the finished product. I know, kind of lame to pay $10 a month for this. But it's mine!

I saw The Black Dahlia last night. For the love of God, if you haven't already, don't go see this movie. If no one goes to see it, maybe Hollywood will get the picture and stop making tripe like this. It was seriously the worst movie I've seen all year. I'd rather watch The Covenant 5 consecutive times than watch The Black Dahlia again.

Day off tomorrow, probably spend the day working on comics and tweakin' the website. Probably update tomorrow night. 'Til then...

Stylin' 10/10/06

Holy crap CSS is hard to edit. PayPal finally processed my moolah, so The MWA is officially mine now. There's going to be quite a few changes going on, some of them not so pretty at first, so please bear with us. Other than that, not much to say. So go read the newest Comic

Lollygaggin' 10/07/06

What's happenin' kids? I'm just working on comics, trying to get ahead a little bit. Speaking of which, did you read Today's comic yet?

Spent the better part of the morning attempting to find a place to rent in Calgary. Looks like our best bet is going to be a basement suite. Hooray. Though I did buy a lottery ticket today. Keep your fingers crossed, maybe I won the millions and can afford a nice appartment.

I've been told to direct you to This Website so you can vote for Neverending White Lights, so go do that if you're into them.

Our most holiest of days is fast approaching. Monday is Turkey Day, have you loosened your belt yet?

L'autobus?! 10/05/06

Holy crap, has it seriously been that long since I updated? What is wrong with me?! Then again, I have very little to say. My life is boring.

Lookin' forward to Halloween. Workin' on a comic, pushin' the deadline as usual. Nothing exciting. You know how it is.

The whole PayPal situation has finally been dealt with, so expect to see some changes by the middle of next week. Also, I've noticed there's been some problems with The Great British Columbian Road Trip of September 2006 page, so that will be dealt with soon. I'll be adding a page with some of my non-comic related art as well, since dA sucks, so look for that.

That's all for now I guess. Oh, I Love Lucy is quite possibly the funniest of all oldschool TV shows. Yeah that's all.

Is That A Chevy '69? 10/02/06

Remember that song 'How Bizarre' by OMC? Man that song is awesome.

So yeah, new job sucks. I'm gonna go blow some money on lottery tickets. Then maybe I could quit, and I wouldn't have to freeload off my dad when I start college, heheh.

Yeah, not much to say. Workin' on comics, listin' to tunes, watchin' movies. That's my life. New comic tomorrow, be sure to check it out.

I'm Goin' Deeper Underground... 09/29/06

There's too much panic in this town!

Yeah. I'm listening to Jamiroquai. Whatever.

I am once again a slave to the man, man. I'm gonna try not to get fired from this one either. Probably the smartest idea I ever had.

My bruddah is in town, so I'm off to the pub. See you tomorrow, with a brand new episode of Inadvertently Productive!

Here's Spit In Your Burger 09/27/06

Job interview tomorrow, yay. I've also signed up for some of those 'cash-for-survey' things, which are probably all scams, and the gov't sent me some money which is allways cool. So I guess I'm not gonna go broke.

Did you check out yesterday's comic yet? WHAT?! Well go!

Later Days!

This Could Be Anywhere In The World 09/25/06

I've really got to start updating more often. Not that I have anything exciting to say, but it is called daily stuff.

I'm still unemployed. I'll almost regret to go back to work, when (and if) ever that may be. I'm actually quite enjoying the poor slacker life. I should go buy some lottery tickets. then maybe I could be a rich slacker. Or maybe if I could get one of those 'gravy' jobs, where you don't do anything but somehow make money...

I've really got to stop pushing deadlines. Tomorrow's comic was finished barely an hour ago. Since I've got all this time i should be building up a buffer of comics. But no, I surf the web instead. Or play Xbox. Or photoshop. Or watch TV. Whatevah. Idowhatahwant.

While goofin' around on Neatorama I found this interesting website where one can input a website URL and it will convert it to DNA. This is what our own MWA looked like. Punch in your website and see what it spits out.

Anyways, tomorrow's comic will be up... well, tomorrow. See you then.

Quick Update, wooo! 09/22/06

Holy long time since I updated, Batman.

Not much to report. Workin'on tomorrow's comic right now. Still jobless. I saw Accepted last night, it was friggin' funny, so you should go check that out. Guild Wars is doing another preview event, so as soon as the comic is done I shall spend a good portion of the day nerding it up.

Laterz n00bz.

P.S. Don't forget to celebrate latino history month!

So How About Them (local Sports team)? 09/18/06

Walmart is the bane of my existence. I don't have a job yet (I'm workin' on it, gimme a break). We went to walmart today. And spent $350. On what you ask? DVDs (Napoleon Dynamite and V for Vendetta, to name a few). Clothes (which I actually need). And a Star Wars action figure (nerd!). Clearly, these are the neccessities of life.

Also saw World Trade Center. It could have been better, but the story was good and I guess that's really the only part that mattered. Very depressing movie, though. Don't go if you are in a good mood and want to stay that way.

NHL pre-season has started, and Oiler's are kickin' arses, w00t!

Anyways, my brain hurts! New comic tomorrow, see you then.

Hot Popular Boy 09/15/06

The Block is gone, and how! Between last night and this afternoon I finished 4 comics, 2 for IP and 2 for a side project I'm working on. I'm also planning on doing an IP 'Cast of Characters' and such for the site.

I was watching the TCM short films marathon today, and they showed some films made by Martin Scorsese during his college years. I only managed to catch two of them. It's Not Just You, Murray! was about a mobster and his 'best friend' Joe, and was quite funny. The Big Shave was much more gloomy, it's this guy shaving (obviously) and he keeps cutting himself. Much bleeding ensues. Anyway, both films were very good. Be sure to check them out if you ever get the chance.

I forgot to mention I got some CDs in Vancouver. I bought Hit It & Quit by Fun100 (who are playing in Hinton next month, I hope to attend) which is awesome, if you're into Nintendo Rock. Go check out their site.
I also bought The White Stripes first album (self titled) which is by far some of their best work. It's a lot more raw and angry, something I think they need to bring back to their records. Not that I don't like their new stuff, but it could use a bit more of the hard-rock characteristic of their earlier albums.

That's all for now I guess...

Nobody said it was easy 09/14/06

I remain jobless. And so, the job search shall begin tomorrow.

The deadline is approaching. I need to finish a comic, but I really have the block. The limitations of the comic itself are partially to blame, as well as my limitations as an artist. I've considered adding an extra panel to the comic, and making the panels larger, but it's already too similar to Questionable Content. I really don't need the crap I'd surely catch for directly ripping them off. Perhaps a major restructuring is in order though.

My Chemical Romance has a new CD out on October 23rd, for those who care, called The Black Parade. You can hear the first track Welcome to the Black Parade over at the My Chemical Romance Website. I listened, it's very operatic. I'm looking foreward to the rest of the album.

On the topic of music, I'm compiling a list of my favourite songs of 2006. I don't mean my fave songs released in 2006, but songs that I liked to listen to in 2006. And compile them I shall. And download/buy/listen to them you shall. And Like them accordingly. Thus spoke me.

I rediscovered an old favourite website, known simply as Lileks. With a slogan like 'Humiliating Defenseless Ephemera Since 1996", where can you go wrong? Be sure to check out The Institute of Official Cheer.

Snork! 09/13/06

So I've been kind of lax in my updates. I've been lax about everything lately I suppose, though I am calling about a job tomorrow. I've also been trying to work on comics, but I seem to have the block again. No worries though, Saturday will have its comic. Oh yeah, and Yesterday's comic is up, if you haven't check that out yet, please do.

I'm sure you've all heard about the tragedy at Dawson College in Montreal. The thoughts and prayers of the "staff" of Minimalist Worldwide Analysis and Inadvertently Productive are with the victims and their families.

On a related note, the media sucks. After the horrific events today, the only description we were given of the gunman was that he was sporting a 'mohawk haircut' and wearing a black trenchcoat. I remember back when Jeff Weise went on his killing spree. The media reported that he often wore eyeliner. Clearly, this was the root of his problems. Anyways, that's a whole can of worms there's no point in opening.

I was watching The Flintstones today (NERD!) and it was the episode with the first appearance of Dino. It was weird because in this episode he was intellegent, spoke somewhat effeminately, and was more purple. How did he end up being pink and unable to speak? Also, Dino is apparently a Snorkasaurus. Snorkasauruses are recognizable by their call, a melodious 'snork!' (as compared to Dino's annoying 'yapyapyapyapyap!' in later episodes).

I watched Alexander Nevsky last night. Totally pro-Russian, anti-German (there were even a few poorly disguised swastikas). You kind of have to push the political stuff aside to really enjoy it, but I can see why a lot of people consider it a masterpiece. The special effects were brilliant, for their time, as was the acting (though it was all in Russian so I guess I really couldn't tell). The battle scene, I am convinced, is the blueprint for every battle scene filmed ever since (though it was a little drawn out, 45 minutes I believe).

I Fought Piranhas/The Boys are back in town. 09/10/06

I only just noticed that the last entry had no title. So I gave todays entry two.

Some of you are probably wondering why a new comic didn't go up yesterday. Well I'm not gonna lie. I'm lazy and depressed right now. But I will try hard to have one up on tuesday. Maybe a bonus one to make up for yesteday's as well. No promises though.

I got the pictures back from the Road Trip and dedicated a page to them. It's called The Great British Columbian Road Trip of September 2006. Go check that out. We also got the pictures back from the AFI concert, though only about 5 of them turned out any good. I'll try and have those up here before too long.

I'm still unemployed. I went to get my last paycheck though, so I'm not completely broke. I better find a job soon though or I will be.

09/08/06

Warning. The following entry contains profanity.

I got fired. That's right. I got fired while I was in a different province. I don't exactly know why, nor do I really care, but I have my ideas. I know some of the people I worked with are reading this, and I'm pretty sure some of you had a hand in my being fired. So fuck you. Seriously. Fuck you. Those of you who aren't assholes, thanks for the fun times.

End of bad words.

Other than that, my holidays were awesome. Miller and I headed out to Vancouver and spent about 4 days with our good friends Jake and Liz.
Alltogether we drove for about 24 hours, and found some pretty crazy radio stations and saw some crazy sights (like Surpluss Herbie's, the Craziest Store in Town!). I took a bunch of pictures, but I dunno how they're gonna turn out. If they turn out okay I'll probably devote an entire page to them.
I spent 5 nights sleeping on the couch with a rat cage at my feet. Rats are nocturnal.
Jake and Liz work at great wing place called Wingnuts. We ate there everyday. Miller and Jake got their pictures on the 'Wall of Flame' after they ate 17 and 12 'seriously hot' wings, respectivly. I made it to 8 and had to give up. The thing is, they still tasted good. Anyways, If you're ever on Main Street in Vancouver, be sure to check out Wingnuts, and look for Miller and Jake on the wall by the bathroom.
I also got a new tattoo while we were out there (number 3) at a place called Next!. The staff there were great, very accomodating, especially Conway who did my ink. Heres what it looked like immediately after...

...and now its all gross and scabby. Yay!
Oh yeah, the night before I got my tattoo, we got rankly drunk on Everclear (95% alc. by volume) and orange juice. At one point I was drinking out of a teapot, and barfed in the drive way. I have a picture of it, I'll put it up here with the rest if they turn out. And the next day on the train on the way to get my tattoo I got really sick. It was great.

Anyways, that's all I can remember for now. I'm sure I'll think of more later. My brother is in town again so I'll probably go hang with him.

P.S. Oh yeah, I discovered this awesome Magazine called Vice. It's like Maxim, if everyone at Maxim was on meth or cocaine all the time. Check it out.

Quick Update 09/07/06

I have returned from holidays, but some issues have come up that need to be dealt with, and I will not be updating the site further until all of the issues have been resolved.

You may have noticed the words about Steve Irwin on the front page. It's how I feel, and if you disagree, go screw yourself.

I'm a long gone daddy 09/01/06

The road trip begins tomorrow at 700 hrs. And after a twelve hour drive, 5 days of drunken debauchery shall commence!

I won't be able to post a comic tomorrow, so for those of you who await my comedic gems in arroused anticipation, a bonus! The next comic will be going up as soon as I finish this post. Allack and alas, however, there won't be a comic on tuesday, since I won't be around. But Inadvertently Productive will return next week.

Anyhoo, see you in a week!

P.S. I spent about 6 hours on the picture below, so I expect you all to look at it. And enjoy it. Or else.

(image removed to save space)

Oh my god, Josh and Brooke split up! 08/30/06

My wife watches retarded television. And the computer is being slow. And me feet hurt.

*pout*

But the newest comic is online! And I leave for Vancouver in 3 days!

That's all, folks.

Back Up, Man, Just Back Up 08/28/06

Yeah, so I have pretty much nothing to say, but I figured I'd better update anyways.

I finally backed up all of my important files, so if the ol' computer box decides to crater or PBwiki goes offline I'll still have all of my comics and such. So thats exciting, I guess.

Um, Inadvertently Productive 14 will be up tomorrow, but subsequent comics may be delayed because of my holidays. I'll try though.

Just had this interesting conversation on MSN...

The Miller Effect says:
man, jason statham is way too badass for his own good lol
She Is The Sunlight (me) says:
i know, he's gonna explode from badassness if he's not carefull.
The Miller Effect says:
i do concur

I'm Broke And You Can't Fix It 08/26/06

It was my elder brother's 24th birthday yesterday, and needless to say I'm hung-over. We had fun while it lasted though, and butchered a number of songs at karaoke, inlcuding My Chemical Romance's 'The Ghost of You'. And then I puked in the tub. FUN!

New comic is up, as promised.

Only 5 more days 'til holidays, w00t! Vancity, here I come!

Game As Ned Kelly 08/23/06

For once, I had a good day off. I dyed my hair black. And bought My Chemical Romance's Life On The Murder Scene. I also bought The Best of Hank Williams, Vol. 2, and it's a gooder if you're into twangy, old-school country. I then saw John Tucker Must Die, which turned out to be much better than expected, it was sort of like Mean Girls.

I'd just like to take a moment here to rant. People, don't make fun others for their music taste, or the way they dress, or the movies they watch. Just because someone wears black and listens to MCR or Fall Out Boy doesn't mean they're an 'emo fag' or a 'scene fag', and the same goes for people who wear their hats sideways and listen to Li'l Jon. Remember that underneath that eyeliner or 'Bling' is a person with feelings. So try and look past the bullshit and preconceived notions and see the person. You don't have to be friends with that person, but don't hate them because of their clothes. Anyways...

If you haven't seen tuesday's comic, go check it out.

Calling All Outlaws 08/21/06

New comic, new format, new character! Welcome to the new look of Inadvertently Productive. Cricket will be a regular member of the cast from now on. I've also decided on a name for our protagonist, and from this day forth, he shall be known as Parker Edwards, Park for short.
I started working on a continuous story arc as well. I just finished the first strip, and it's the most complex one yet, so prepare to be amazed. Comics will be posted at regular intervals from now on, on Tuesday and Saturday evenings (circumstances permitting).

Well, thats all for now. Gotta get up early for a haircut, so I should prolly hit the hay.

Edit: Oh yeah, you have to check this out. You'll only get half the jokes if you aren't a nerd, but its funny either way

Sexy Results 08/19/06

Well I'm still dealing with the whole PayPal rigamarole, and the big changes wont be happening for a while. You may have noticed, however, a number of small changed I've made to the website. For instance, The Ninja has been retired. I realized from the beginning that the ninja thing is over done, and he had nothing to do with the content of the site. He has been replaced by The Main Character of Inadvertently Productive, who I have also decided to re-name. I don't have a name for him yet though, that may take some time. There will also be something of a re-structuring of the comic itself, with some new art and *gasp* a background. And maybe a continuous story line.

Rest in peace, Ninja.

Oh crap, I was so happy about it I almost forgot. Inadvertenly Productive has been accepted by the Onlinecomics.net Database! I guess that makes me a legitimate starving webcomic artist.

Well I spent about $150 yesterday and have nothing to show for it. I ate sooo much carny food it's not even funny. Altogether I had 24 grilled jumbo shrimp with garlic butter, a cheese burger with fried onions, 6 pyrogies with sour cream, a cinnemon-sugar elephant ear (dough-god, beaver-tail, whatever), popcorn, a lime snowcone, and about 4 cans of pepsi. I then proceeded to drink about 9 crown and cokes, which is a lot for such a cheap drunk. Carnivals and Bars are not good for diets.

Such Dreams As These, I Know They Mean No Good 08/17/06

My website sucks, because I am lazy. I decided that since I'm doing the webcomic thing, and people are taking it sort of seriously, I'd better start paying for my PBwiki. I'm getting an average of 10 hits a day (which is nothing compared to 'the big guys'), and if I want a professional looking website with no adds and that that won't confuse people I have to upgrade to at least Silver. I might end up going with Platinum because, allthought its rather advanced and intended for corporations, its only like $250 a year. Peanuts.
Anyhow, since I'm a loser and don't have a credit card I decided to set up a PayPal account to pay for the upgrade. Turns out in order to confirm ones PayPal account, they deposit money in your account, and you have to tell them how much it is. I don't feel like going to the bank to check my account, so I figure I'll try online banking. Turns out in order to set up online banking you have to get a 3-digit pin number, which you can only obtain by going to the bank.
So as you may have noticed, the site hasn't been upgraded yet. Hopefully the ball will be in motion by tomorrow though, so don't be shocked by massive changes to the layout of the site.

Also, I have been having very odd dreams. I can't remember them, but I know they're weird and worth remembering, so maybe I better start writing them down as soon as I wake up.

Expect a new comic by the middle of next week.

The annual carnival is in town, wahoo. I'm not much into the rides, but some of the games are fun, and the food is usually good. Also, my brother is in town so you know what that means. Tomorrow I shall eat (carny food), drink (crown and coke), and be merry (and sing retarded songs).

This Little Piggy 08/15/06

Been a while since I updated... yet still, I have nothing exciting to report.

Finally, a new comic. I've submitted Inadvertently Productive to the Online Comics Database and am awaitng acceptance. I would be rather peeved if I didn't make it, considering some of the tripe that does.

Peeved is a stupid word.

The diet has ended, an utter failure. My only hope now is to continue getting more exercize and burn off the... holy crap, 240 calories per 50g of salt and vinegar chips I'm eating.

Damn I look good when I shave though, and when I wear the hat.

Anyways, Frankie said it best...

"Cock your hat. Angles are attitudes." -- Frank Sinatra

Edit: Imediatly after finishing this entry I found this intense comic called The Three Men by Kelli Nelson. It's morbid, and I love it.

Lies! 08/12/06

Yay! Saturday is treat day, the day when I can eat food that tastes good!

I just heard the funniest thing... 'In the 1980s, like the spawn of satan, came hair metal.' It's true. I really can't stand most hair metal, glam rock, or pretty much any music from the 80s. Oh, and Guns 'n' Roses. That band name totally belongs to an emo band.

I saw a preview for 'The Illusionist' which looks frickin' awesome, and I am quite looking foreward to seeing it. Plus, I have a mancrush on Edward Norton. Just kidding. But seriously.

I seem to have writers block right now. Work on the book has dropped off alltogether, and I can't even think of anything remotely funny for a comic. I'll try and have one by the end of the week though.

W00t, ABC's of Rock is on!

I'm just 3 ducks in a man costume! 08/10/06

I've started work on the novel. So far so good, but i guess we'll see how it goes. I suppose. I rhymed. Accidental prose. Peace...

Man Boondocks is awesome. It is pretty black though, and I'm not even gonna pretend I understand all of it. 'Cause I'm pretty white. But it's pretty effin' awesome anyways. Its prolly the best cartoon out there. The Boondocks Comic is good too, so you should check them both out if you haven't yet.

So me and some of my retard friends went and got addicted to that stupid frickin' Habbo Hotel thing. 'Cause there's nothing more fun than having 13 year olds hit on you *thumbs up*. We even went so far as spending money on it. My coolness meter just keeps going down...

I had a wikkid bad nosebleed at work the other day. We were arguing who was more badass, the guy who chopped of his own arm to get out from under a bolder or the guy who accidentally chopped of his hand and self-cauterized the stump in his oven before he drove to the hospital. Anyways, we were having this animated conversation and all of a sudden BAM! Nosebleed! It was crazy, and it wouldn't stop. It was all running into my teeth and my beard, and pretty much I looked like I killed somebody. It was awesome, yet gross. Especially when I blew my nose and a bloodclot the size of a toonie flew out.

I bet you look good on the dance floor. 08/08/06

Another bonus comic! Better enjoy this one, might be a while before theres another one.

Other than that, life is boring. Maybe someday soon I'll have something interesting for you guys to read.

Edit: 5 minutes later - I have 1776 songs on my media player... that's the year the American Revolution started... an omen? Probably no.

Take Cover 08/06/06

Turns out I'm retarded. I barely got any sleep last night, and I usually end up being really dumb and grouchy if I don't get enough sleep. So about an hour before work I decide to go shower. I cranked the hot water on full blast, and stuck my hand in it. Hot water is called hot water for a reason. It's hot.

I've made something of a personal resolution to live healthier. So I'm going to try and consume less junkfood and pop, and get more exercise every day. I've also resolved to try and keep my house clean. I went to do dishes tonight and a layer of slime had taken over the sink. And what an incredible smell I discovered. Yum.

I've been listeng to Robert Johnson lately. If you like delta blues, you should already know who he is. If you don't like delta blues, listen to Robert Johnson, and you may start to. Legends say that he sold his soul to the devil at a crossroads in exchange for his awesome guitar playing skills. Listening to his music, the legends seem a little true.

Random question... Why does Christina Aguilera have to be so good looking, but suck so bad?

The new comic is up, so go check that out.

That's all for today, woohoo and excitement. I'll leave you with this quote from one of Robert Johnson's tunes...

I went to the crossroad / fell down on my knees / I went to the crossroad / fell down on my knees / Asked the Lord above "Have mercy, now / save poor Bob, if you please."
-- Robert Johnson, Crossroad Blues

Why can't You be nicer to me? 08/05/06

As you may have noticed, the titles of my daily entries often have nothing to do with the actual content. Sometimes they do. But usually it's just the title of a song I happen to be listening to or have stuck in my head.

The Daily Stuff page was getting a bit long, so I decided that there should only be 20 entries at a time. You will find a link to Previous Entries at the bottom of the page. Schmancy, no?

I spent about a bajillion hours working on This last night. It's not what I was going for, but since it took so long, I demand you look at it.

I'm listening to The White Stripes, for the first time in a while. It reminds me how much I really love those guys. I'm sure you do too. Why not visit their website?

In relation to yesterday's post, yet another canadian soldier has died in Afghanistan. This brings the total to 24 canadian soldiers killed in Afghanistan.

My Ego Is Writing Cheques My Body Can't Cash 08/04/06

A serious entry today, kids.

4 Canadian soldiers were killed in Afghanistan yesterday, and 10 were wounded. I'm not really pro-war or anti-war. War sucks, but sometimes it has to happen. And even if you don't support war, you gotta support the boys 'over there' who are getting their asses shot off.

Comic CRAAAAAZYNESS!!! 08/03/06

Whats this? ANOTHER BONUS COMIC??!! IT'S COMIC CRAAAAZYNESS!

Yeah thats... thats about it I guess.

Moving Along... 08/02/06

This sucks. I had a day off and didn't do a damn thing, except visit with my dad a while, which was okay. I bitch and complain about how bad my job sucks and then don't do anything fun when I get a day off. I suck.

Went on a music downloading spree today, downloaded about 100 songs, deleted all but 20. I hate it when bands have a good singer, and they'll sing about for 5 seconds and growl/scream the rest of the song. Because everbody just loves the lyrics "GRAHFHAGRARARAGHAFRARA!!!" Screamed over and over again!

I'm thinking of writing a children's novel. I won't give away any details yet, but it will most likely be illustrated by my good friend Molly Bailey, AKA Utah Mali. I know it sounds weird, me writing a children's novel, but it also sounded weird when I decided to make a comic strip, which has so far worked out.

Anyways, the wife is making this weird high-pitched "EEERRRGHHHHHH!" noise, which means it's time to get of the old computer box.

Later kids.

This Conversation Is Over! 08/01/06

Huzzah! A bonus comic. It's rather good, if I do say so myself. And I do say so myself. Which is why I said it.

A word of advice from Zakk: Do not meddle in the affairs of teenagers, it causes too much drama. You don't want no drama. No no no no drama.

If I don't get vacation soon my head is going to asplode.

I noticed V for Vendetta is out on DVD. I saw it in theaters, and will probably buy it. It's a gooder, but it's not a movie for dumb people. On a side note, an ancestor of mine was tried for treason and executed for his involvement in the Gunpowder Plot.

I spilled a bunch of Spitz on my keyboard today, and some of them got crammed down underneath the keys. I couldn't use Shift for a while. Plus my internet is being retarded. I can use messenger and download songs, but can’t access websites. Then it will come back. Then it will go away. Stupid internet. Why does everything bad always happen to me?

Meanwhile, the civilian casualties in Lebanon continue to rise... seriously folks, I know life can be stressfull. I get stressed. But every time life gets you down, just say this to yourself... 'At least I don't live in a country bordering Israel'. Unless you do. In which case... sorry?

Sober, but bored 07/31/06

Turns out I have wikkid grammar when I'm hammered.

Check out the awesome New Comic. Its awesome.

Man I'm bored.

To hammered to think of a clever title 07/29/06

My brother was in town today. I went to the pub with him and my mom and step-dad. I drank too much. I sang loud and drunkenly. I am drunk as I type this. Therefore, I am making little sense, and have to keep fixing my spelling mistakes. Actually, I seem to be making more sense than I think. Whatever. I'll be back. Baby.

Call me Dr. Pepper 07/28/06

Its been a few days since I've updated, thats because my life is boring.

I've seriously become addicted to Dr Pepper. When I can't have Dr Pepper, I drink Coke and pretend it's Dr Pepper. And Spitz, I ate like half a pound of spitz yesterday.

I'm thinking of getting another tattoo soon.

I almost drowned the other day. I really have to stop trying to die.

Good god, Canadian money is so ugly. I was looking at a 10 dollar bill today. I'd be embarrassed to spend my money in another country.

Including the comics already online, I now have made a total of 7 episodes of Inadvertently productive. I've got a few more one-liners in mind, but I'm thinking of maybe taking an older story and adapting it for modern day readers, and actually having some sort of continuity at last.

Speaking of comics, Ive been reading Teaching Baby Paranoia alot lately. Its good, though not neccessarily funny. Check it out.

Thats all for now folks. See you next time, same Bat Time, same Bat Channel!!!

Spam, Spam, Spam and Spam 07/25/06

I'm still in shock from AFI, so I don't have much to say. Other than work sucks, as allways, and I've been getting a ridiculous amount of spam in my e-mail lately. But then again, I really think I do need bigger boobs, a horny houswife sex partner, a coca-cola/tiger woods rolex, and free meds. Oh, and to drop 30 lbs. fast.

I have decided that Clint Eastwood is a bad ass. Not that it took much deciding. This man swam over a mile against the tide through a herd of stinging jellyfish to get to shore after surviving a plane crash. Also, he looks like this.

My favourite Clint Eastwood movie quotes...

"you remember that drover I shot through the mouth and his teeth came out the back of his head? I think about him now and again. He didn't do anything to deserve to get shot, at least nothin' I could remember when I sobered up." -- Unforgiven, 1992

"I do like tater-tots." -- A Perfect World, 1993

Anyways, I've put up a bonus comic for this week. I want to get Inadvertently Productive into the Online Comics Database (which is very frickin' cool) and I need to have 10 strips up before I can submit. I'm trying to plug out as many as I can, in a hopefully short period, but as I allways say "Quality before quantity." So yeah, go check it out.

Wait, a herd of jellyfish?

Buckle up kids 07/23/06

Buckle up kids, its gonna be a long ride. I havent been able to post for 3 days due to massive electrical storms in my area, and my needing to get some sort of sleep, so I've got quite a bit to talk about. First on the agenda... Hey Jesse, Leah, Brant, Miller, Big Tim, McGuire, Crystal, Emily, Cody, Codie, D-rod, Kate, Jory, and Nathan... Remember that time we went to AFI?

AFI effing rocked. We drove 2 hours to get to the city of Edmonton where they were playing, took a 10 minute bus ride to a 10 minute train ride, then walked 5 blocks to the venue. Stood in line for 45 minutes, waited inside for another 45 minutes, listened to the opening band (Plain White T's. They were quite good. I recommend 'Hey There Delilah' and 'Hate (I Really Don't Like You)' by them) for another half hour or so, and then waited about another half hour for AFI. And man, was it worth the wait.
It was a pretty short set, I think they only played about 10 songs, but I'm not really complaining. There's really no way to describe it. It was just awesome, Davey would talk to the crowd and Jade was really getting into it, just to get us into it. The venue we were at had ballroom seating (bleachers at either side of the room, facing eachother) and Davey said it reminded him of a pep-rally, so he convinced the people sitting in the bleachers to do the old "We got spirit, yes we do!" chant back and forth, it was great.
The highlight of the concert had to be when Davey came off stage and literally stood on the crowd. I don't wanna sound like a poetic, sentimental geek, but it almost brought me to tears. He looked like a golden god, walking on the hands of his followers.
Anyways, enough of emotion. I spent a lot of the concert protecting this nice girl I met from the big moshers. I'm not much for moshing, so I usually hang back at concerts, but those guys get around, and she was about 4'5". So if she happens to read this, Hello Mallory, from Zakk the bodyguard.
The concert was awesome, end of story.

You know what? I've decided I don't really have anything else important to say right now. So just read my latest comic.

Yarr! Shiver me timbers! Swash me buckles! 07/20/06

I saw Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest today. It was quite awesome, though the plot was kind of convoluted, leading to a really long movie... but at least it was fun to watch. Probably my favourite part was this intense 3-way swordfight between Captain Jack, Wil Turner and Norrington. Norrington is considerably more badass in this movie than the first as well. Davy Jones is quite possibly the coolest badguy ever, what with the octopus head and the scottish accent. And OH MY GOD JACK DIES AND CAPTAIN BARBOSA IS ALIVE AT THE END! Sorry, did I spoil it for you?

The AFI concert is tomorrow, and there's supposedly going to be a signing before the show. I am going to attempt to get my picture taken with Davey Havok and the boys, and hopefully get some stuff signed. I'll let y'all know tomorrow how it goes.

Have you ever watched 'My Super Sweet Sixteen?' It's this show on MTV Canada (and I imagine all of the other MTVs) where spoiled rotten brats get their rich-assed dads to shell out thousands of bucks for the 16th birthday party. Every time I watch it I want to gag (which is why I don't really watch it). These kids make me sick. There are children in this world who will be lucky to live to be 16, and Little Ms. Princess throws a hissy because she can't have a car for her birthday, or an ice sculpture of herself on the 40 foot banquet table (for all her friends to worship, I guess).

I have to apologize for what I said yesterday about Stephen Harper. He's really redeemed himself, at least in my mind, by going over there personally to see the refugees. He even went so far as flying some of them back here on his private jet. It's all politics, but it makes him look damn good, and I think I speak for many Canadians when I say we're proud of him.

That's all for now, and so I leave you with this quote from Washington Irving.

"He came, said he, in a storm, and he went in a storm; he came in the night, and he went in the night; he came nobody knows whence, and he has gone nobody knows where. For aught I know he has gone to sea once more on his chest, and may land to bother some people on the other side of the world; though it's a thousand pities, added he, if he has gone to Davy Jones's locker."

My Life is Exciting!!! 07/18/06

I don't have much to report about my own life. Yeah, believe me, it bores me too.

I really need to go to the highschool and register for an exam in August, but keep putting it off. I need to get it done, or college will be put off even further. I have this habit, where I put something off so long and let it stress me out untill I'm ready to puke. Maybe I'm a sadist.

Have I told you to listen to Billy Talent II yet? Oh. Well do it. It has everything, catchy lyrics, awesome guitar riffs, heavy beats. This album is amazing, awesome, and wikkid, all rolled into one.

Work sucks. I work with nothing but retards and little girls. I haven't decided which catagory I fall into. I get 10 days of vacation in September though. Why can't it be September now?

AFI in 2 days!!! AHHHH! I'm psyched. It's gonna be intense.

Lets see, whats in the news...

Hey look, arabs and jews are killing eachother, and innocent people are getting caught in the middle. Go figure. And surprise, surprise our government has once again managed to make themselves look bad by not evacuating Canadians in the area untill it was to late. I know, these things happen, it was a mistake anyone could have made. But Harper needs to start thinking like a politician if he wants to hang on for another round.

Those RCMP who got shot the other week died 2 days ago. I have no idea why anyone would kill a cop. Its just... retarded. You can never ever have a normal life again after you kill a cop. Even other criminals hate cop killers. It happens way to often, 7 cops killed in canada in the last 2 years that I can think of. Cops are the ones who are supposed to protect us, and who's protecting them? Cop killers should be flogged, end of story.

I slept all day 07/16/06

Yeah that pretty much covers it. Other than that I realised yesterday's post said it was written in 1996. So I fixed that.

In relation to yesterday's political rant, I've realised there's really no point in trying to discerne why people in the middle-east love to kill eachother so much. It seems that they love war.

I listened to Johnny Cash's American V: A Hundred Highways today. It was good. Nothing spectacular, but it was pretty easy on the ears. Let's just say you'll like it if you like Johnny Cash. It is kind of depressing though, because you can really hear the age in Johnny's voice. I recommend Track 2 - God's Gonna Cut You Down. I personally love apocalyptic blues, and It's got a good heavy beat.

Holy crap, AFI is on Friday.

Traveling Gong Show 07/15/06

Well we never made it to the reunion, because the rickity-ass motorhome we were traveling in crapped out about an hour into our journy. And man was this thing rickity, I can't say I was really surprised when it started spewing white smoke. Frankly I'm glad, because I would have been bored hanging out with the wife's insane family. But at the same time, I'm really bored now.

Have I ever told you how much I hate manga? Good God I hate manga.

And I'm out of pop. How am I supposed to be a nerd without pop?!

Inadvertently Productive 2 is now online for your viewing pleasure. I better get my butt in gear and think up some new material if I want a continuous story line any time soon. For now, enjoy the fancy new buttons at the bottom of the comics which ended up looking like crap.

Other than that, I achieved absolutly nothing today. Oh, except I made a really good panfried steak and mushrooms for lunch.

<political rant> What's with Israel? Do they think they can start a war for any reason? Last I heard they had killed something like 110 Lebanese (mostly civilians) while Hezbollah terrorists based in Lebanon had killed like 20 Israelies (mostly soldiers.) What's their deal? I guess nobody ever told them that just because some poorly trained, underfunded terrorists tossed some bombs at you doesn't mean you can bomb the capital of a country with high-tech jets and missiles. Wait a second, that sounds familiar... Now before people lable me an anti-semite, let me just say I have nothing against jewish people, or any other religious or racial group. The jewish people struggled for centuries against anti-semitism, to be sure. But that doesn't give Israel the right to do whatever they want. The thing that angers me the most though, is that the media is so afraid to portray jewish people in a bad light that they won't even admit that Israel might be in the wrong here. </political rant>

I have to pee. 07/13/06

Man I love Spitz. PBwiki wasn't working last night, I nearly cried. Not that I had much to report, so it can all merge with today's post I guess.

Work is lame, as usual, but I've decided not to quit. I got payed yesterday. It turns out I got a raise. So I thought to myself, 'Where am I gonna go that will pay me this much to work so little?'. Plus, my bosses aren't real assholes. They let me borrow money whenever I want, don't complain when I show up hungover and reeking of hooch, etc. So I'm staying. Also, I'll actually be getting some kind of vacation.

I'll be going out of town for a day or two this weekend for my wife's hillbilly family reunion, which should suck. But I'm supposed to hook up with my cousin sometime, and possibly get loaded with him, so that should be cool. There will be wiki silence from me for at least 24 hours. Maybe a post tomorrow though.

I've been listening to Neverending White Lights a lot lately. I've really started to enjoy them, despite the sappy-ness. Also their videos are quite wikkid. Visit their website and get all the info, see the videos, listen to samples, etc.

I've also wasted about 6 hours of my life reading Questionable Content, a webcomic about some music nerds and their relationships. Plus a robot. It is quite fun, if a bit dry.

Writing about my slackass job and laidback bosses got me thinking about when my buddy Miller. Now I have to explain Miller. Have you ever seen those 'Gamekillers' commercials? Well Miller is the one they call 'The Mess.' He's the guy who goes 'WHOOooOOooo-wh-whOO!" All the time. The last time I saw Miller he was crawling over a coffee table (because he was to drunk to walk), knocking over beercans, just to turn up the stereo (give him a break, it was Billy Talent). Anyways.
Miller shows up for work one day. An empty six-pack holder around his wrist. A full sixer in a grocery bag. His hair dishevled. Unshaven. With no pants on.
And he didn't even get fired.

Lolz, omfg, ttyl Pt. II: Teh Brb, n00b 07/11/06

I am so tired. Going for 30 hours without sleep turned out to not be a good idea. Who knew. Work was interesting though, I felt drunk the whole time.

So The Comics have been relatively well recieved by my friends, and It's inspired a few of them to make their own comics, which is frickin' awesome. I did another one last night, and the ideas keep coming, so this thing might work.

As for the rest of the night, I plan to hunker down with some Spitz, Junkie Juice, and some good ol' Fight Club. Did you ever see Fight Club? Read the book. It gets waaayyy more into the weirdness that made me love the movie in the firstplace.

Oh yeah. No more P-Roach for me. I've moved on to 'No. 1 Scherzo Allegro Vivace' by the Symphonie-Orchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks. Much less lame. Though slightly more nerdy.

Lolz, omfg, ttyl. 07/11/06

I did it. But only time will tell if The Comics will go anywhere. I need more ideas for them. Then again, I have lots of time to think about it. It's 4:40 am, and I'm listening to Papa Roach. Like, Papa Roach when they rapped. Which makes me feel kind of lame. Anyways. I'll probably update again later today.

Holy Drunk, I'm Sh*t! 07/10/06

Yeah. Got a little drunk last night. That was cool, except for the customary barfing off the porch. It reminded me of old times. Which sort of bothers me, because all of my 'old times' were also drunk times. I guess that's something I have to deal with.

I am so sick of work. I'm counting down the days like a litany. People probably think I'm some sort of religious freak, chanting 'twenty-one more days. Twenty-one more days.'

Which reminds me, only eleven days untill AFI.

I'm listening to Neverending White Lights' Act 1: Goodbye Friends Of The Heavenly Bodies. It's kind of weird, but I guess thats why I bought it. I decided I needed something new in my music collection, and I've never really heard them, so I grabbed it. It's all harps and pianos. Whatev. On a side note, is your level of coolness in the music industry measured by the length of your band name and song titles? Example: "I slept with someone in Fall Out Boy and all I got was this stupid song written about me."

Kapow!!! 07/09/06

I'm considering a webcomic. I know it's been done a billion times, and it'll be hard to get noticed in the big world of comics, but I'm still thinking about it. Also I'm not sure If I should put it up here or create a new wiki alltogether to hold it untill I can buy my own domain. I'm actually working on a concept right now, so I guess time will tell.

Tn3/This Suffering - 07/07/06

The Tennessee Three were awesome. The only thing that might have made it better is if the Great J.C. was still alive. The opening guy was good too, Jack Connolly. He sang kind of like that guy from Widemouth Mason, but more of a country-bluesy style. Good stuff. Got some CDs and autographs and all that jazz. So that was fun.

But work sucks. Sweet Jesus, I am so glad I'm done there at the end of the month. Ever had a managerial type job? Don't. Everyone wants you to do your job, but only when it suits them. Other than that they'd rather you leave them be and do whatever the hell they want. And you better stay out of their way.

I can't wait to leave that sh*thole.

Let's get this thing rolling - 07/06/06

I've been spending money like a valley girl. Who just got dumped. Whatever that means. Anyways. Between yesterday and today I bought

  • 4 cds - Billy Talent II, Sing The Sorrow by AFI, Goodbye Friends Of The Heavenly Bodies by Neverending White Lights, and A Hunded Highways by Johnny Cash.
  • 2 books - 'The Mummy' by Anne Rice, and 'Fight Club' by Chuck Palahniuk.
  • A John Deere hat for myself, and a pink John Deere shirt for the missus (gotta represent the Deere).
  • Some dress pants that will probably get wrecked when I wear them to work, a black and red striped polo shirt (I am HXC emo, you know) and some socks.
So I should be set for a while. And probably shouldn't buy anything for a while.

I am, however, going to see The Tennesee Three tonight, the original Johnny Cash Band, which should give my socks a thorough rocking. I'll let y'all know tomorrow how things go.
